An independent creation and initiative by designer & illustrator Hu Linyue, Huabao draws inspiration from tangible local elements and their deep cultural meanings. Through atmospheric, narrative-driven illustrations, it presents diverse local humanity across multiple dimensions—integrating text, audio, video, digital content, offline exhibitions and other formats. The project is regularly updated on platforms including WeChat Official Account and rednote, with total online views exceeding 10 million. It has been honored with numerous awards at national, provincial and municipal levels, and has been selected for various art exhibitions.

As of December 2025, nearly 30 works from Huabao’s Kunming series — Kunming Pictorial — have been released consecutively. More themes and artworks will be created and published in the coming months.
